T.T. 40... time for Proof Of Work.
See for yourself if these results speak for themselves...
Hola amigos,
Greetings from Berlín, El Salvador!
Last week’s post was FULL of updates…
So many, in fact, that my Meat CPU short-circuited.
The full outline, already arranged in my head… never typed a word of it.
There were other factors.
Potential civil war in Texas… suddenly, I felt obligated to tie in the breaking news of last Thursday when I sat down to write the weekly post.
I also felt obligated to cram in all of these Berlín updates too…
At the last minute, however, I realized that my biggest obligation in that moment was actually to catch up on sleep instead.
My main focus has trended away from politics…
I left D.C. for good reasons.
And I’ve been VERY busy here.
I’ve made BIG commitments.
Building in a foreign country now…
And we’re starting to see some results!
Regarding my work (NOT political) here in El Salvador, check out this Twitter thread. Throughout the past two weeks, I’ve still been sharing major updates there, despite missing last Thursday’s Substack.
(the thread includes posts from our weekend group trip to El Zonte!)
I’ll share just 2 of those clips to start us off here.
They segue smoothly into the rest of this T.T. post… which will have even more clips, but fewer corresponding words, compared to usual.
Strap in…
It’s a long one. That being said…
You’ll finally get to SEE what I’ve been
building toward over the past year
since starting this Substack series.
“Show, don’t tell” and all that :)

Shoutout for Berlín…

Another shoutout for Berlín…

Reverse engineering the Joe Rogan network effect:
And the early results are in…
DAVE SMITH on WHAT BITCOIN DID:
The world’s most influential libertarian commentator…
11 time guest on the Joe Rogan Experience…
On the world’s most widely followed Bitcoiner podcast!
Published 13 days ago… 45k views so far on YouTube alone.
Brought to you by Bitcoin Twitter network effects:
PETER —> Michelle —> me —> Clint —> DAVE
Speaking of Guy Swann…
(Dave credited Guy for orangepilling him in the previous clip with Peter McCormack)
Guy Swann + Clint Russell recently
with Shane Hazel + Aleks Svetski
Clint actually gave me a shoutout by name here!
But also, Guy Swann exquisitely roasted Elizabeth Warren — aka Senator Pocahontas — for her insane proposal to ban Bitcoin self-custody.
Quick tangent:
Two incredible crossovers both dropped this week:
I was the one who suggested each :)
Specifically via Twitter DM to Guy in December…
Also a reply to Saif tagging Scott on Oct. 17…
And a reminder reply to Scott tagging Saif…
BOTH came to life…
AND BOTH were released this past week!
Not long ago, this would’ve been huge for me. The biggest news of my month, at least… but honestly, I barely even have room here to elaborate more now.
This next clip is too significant.
A more directly relevant connection.
Something I’ve been resisting the urge to hype publicly for WEEKS now:
Clint Russell is officially running for
Vice President of the United States
It’s OFFICIAL now!
But before his decision was confirmed…
Clint debuted his announcement of serious intent.
Last month. On MY podcast… of all places.
On my irrelevant little show’s DEBUT episode.
(The lack of a huge audience was probably a prerequisite to Clint’s comfort sharing this massive news before he had fully decided about running, if I’m analyzing it honestly… but allow my ego to indulge itself for a moment here, just this once, okay? This was special.)
Breaking news — an inside scoop — that could go down in Libertarian lore (the party of Rothbard himself) if Clint’s campaign gets traction. It can be traced back publicly here to this clip! I still find it hard to believe myself, but you can verify with your own eyes and ears:
Early in this 15 minute closing segment
from our panel episode on January 10th:
About two weeks later…
Clint’s first solo episode
after official V.P. launch
15 minute clip, two segments:
Responding to a clip of Rand Paul on Tucker Carlson, saying that — if Trump chose Ron Paul’s son as his own V.P. — Clint would probably drop out. The mission of his campaign is the Ron Paul 2.0 movement
Tying together several profound points in an inspiring response to a viral clip from UFC champion Sean Strickland about rising above poverty, inflation, addiction, depression, etc
I know, I know.
That’s a lot to cram into 15 minutes. Why watch it all?
Because weaving together a variety of trending topics into cohesively insightful conclusions and inspiring calls to action — all communicated clearly, on the fly, off the dome, purely unscripted — is what Vice Presidential candidate Clint Russell does about as well as anyone I’ve ever seen.
Starts with focus on (a legitimate) political controversy…
Segues into economics… inflation…
Includes an endorsement of Bitcoin…
But then ties it all together with an inspirational monologue about entrepreneurial spirit… following passions, working obsessively, and finding success as well as fulfillment!
THAT is why I’ve become such a huge supporter — and gradually, somehow over the past 1.5 years, also kind of a friend — of Clint Russell.
Not just the consistent libertarian principles.
Not just Bitcoin or entrepreneurship…
But rather the WAY that Clint ties ALL of his strongest strengths and his most passionate passions together… ALL layered into a modern Rothbardian medley that has successfully resonated with audience sizes on the scale of MILLIONS.
But also on smaller scales.
Across a variety of podcast formats.
Including a panel episode
featuring Bitcoin podcaster
Daniel Prince (@PrinceySOV)
Princey has actually been on Clint’s show twice now…
Both were panels that I suggested and arranged :)
Not to make it about me though.
Time to bring the ego back in check.
I recommended Princey because he’s similarly inspiring!
I hoped this episode would inspire Clint’s audience.
I know for a fucking FACT that it inspired the hell out of me:
Daniel Prince (and Mikkel Thorup)
”Liberty Lockdown” — Nov. 2022
That clip segment still means a lot to me, honestly.
You may have noticed that I’ve started posting a LOT of clips — not only here on Substack, but also on Twitter — over the past several months.
THIS is the clip where it all started.
The very first one that I ever extracted from a podcast…
I did it for this old Substack post.
It appears to have created a monster… lol:
The rest is history?
Kinda… I’ve continued writing my story a little more deliberately since then. LIVING my story more deliberately. Today’s post is, quite frankly, showing off some results of progress so far.
But I’m NOT just bragging for its own sake.
I’m NOT just resting on my laurels…
I’m building this up into something big…
Something bigger than any single one of us.
Bigger than my own podcast alone…
Three times bigger, in fact, than my own podcast alone.
I’ll be producing — producer, not host — two other Timcast-style ensemble shows (one in English, the other in Español) here in Berlín!
Next week I’ll drop more details.
For now, here’s the teaser clip… including Clint’s advice, speaking as someone who has actually BEEN on Timcast multiple times:
Clint’s first advice?
Get better soundproofing. He was absolutely correct.
The room will be ready, almost one month later, in time for…
Jethoreau Show
Episode 2 — Wednesday, Feb. 7 — featuring:
DANIEL PRINCE
MICHELLE WEEKLEY
Also cohost friends Quentin and Vania
(fellow Bitcoiners living here in Berlín!)
I like to bring my frens with me when I get these opportunities :)
Both cohosts have read Princey’s book “Choose Life” about traveling and following passions.
Princey also gave Michelle her very first opportunity on any Bitcoin podcast last year, soon after she first came out publicly on Bitcoin Twitter with her real name.
In other words:
Princey has had a positive influence on all four of us who will be joining him for this panel.
It’s gonna be fun!
Speaking of Princey on my podcast…
I gave a shoutout to him — specifically to a relevant point Princey brought up in his first appearance on Clint’s show — in this first episode of my show featuring Clint!
Michelle was also in the room with us.
Here’s a link to her full episode on Princey’s podcast!
And I encourage checking that out for a better sense of how great she is on a podcast, compared to my own first episode, where I didn’t do her justice.
I’ll remedy that with this second episode.
Michelle has visited over 40 countries, now including El Salvador twice, so she definitely fits in with the “Bitcoin Traveler” theme that the other three panelists share as well.
She’s also a freedom-loving badass with an incredible range of professional backgrounds, which happen to tie in well with Bitcoin Circular Economies:
CompSci —> telecommunications —> early stage tech startups…
Director of Global Marketing in Foreign Direct Investment: the firsthand experience of Fiat Corruption that led Michelle to Bitcoin…
Director of Product Development, now working on Bitcoin tech…
She’s cool. I’m grateful that she’s giving me a second chance to let her shine properly, this time on less short notice, and with an actual microphone/camera set up properly back at her home in Florida!
As for my other two cohosts…
The ones who actually live here in Berlín…
(Michelle just happened to be in El Salvador visiting last time)
This won’t be Quentin’s first podcast either.
He’s been interviewed (alongside his girlfriend Sam) by Mike Peterson himself on the “Bitcoin Beach” podcast:
As for the other cohost…
Vania will be on the debut episode of another podcast soon!
One of the two ensemble-style shows that I’ll be producing here in Berlín.
She and I were also both among the fellowship of nine (Tolkien would be proud) who went down to El Zonte last weekend:
Vania is the one on the right — next to Quentin’s girlfriend Sam!
This was at the Bitcoin Farmers Market, where a fellow expat named Leo sells books by Bitcoiners who are also published authors.
Vania bought Princey’s (non-Bitcoin-focused) book there by pure coincidence.
It wasn’t until we sat next to each other on the three hour car ride back to Berlín that we realized it: the author of the book she had just bought (paid with sats, of course) was about to be the next guest on my podcast!
Obviously, I invited her on the spot to be the 5th panelist…
More details on that coming next week :)
Be on the lookout for another post Monday or Tuesday.
A “Podcast Hype” post like when I previewed Saifedean’s appearance on Clint’s show…
But this time to preview in more detail why I’m hyped about this upcoming roundtable conversation with Princey, Michelle, Vania, and Quentin!
Stay tuned…

Bonus clip:
I really want to elaborate on this.
That’ll have to wait.
But if you watch it, you’ll understand why I felt the need to include this clip from the recent Michael Malice appearance on the Tom Woods Show:
Malice has been on Rogan seven times btw…
Also on Peter McCormack’s show twice… a show which Clint will ALSO be on next time Peter visits Miami. But I digress.
See ya next week frens :)
