T.T. 20: Limit Your Limitations by Subtracting Dis-tractions
"My future self is better than me"
“Can’t” has caused countless catastrophes.
Its opportunity cost is incalculable.
Ask anyone on a deathbed… can you really put a price on a lifetime that, in retrospect, feels wasted?
The biggest regrets are the chances never taken.
“Yes. The person who is successfully doing the thing that you want to do — but you’re not — is better than you.”
Jack Spirko is one of the most successful podcasters alive, by any reasonable standard.
He’s been doing it full time for 15 years now — with well over 3000 episodes so far — and makes more money now than he did in his corporate marketing career.
And that’s all despite speaking his mind bluntly… including MANY uncomfortable truths, for which the ruling class establishment would gladly “cancel” him in a heartbeat… IF they could.
But he’s successfully put himself beyond their reach!
Jack’s episode of “The Survival Podcast” on Monday was about overcoming the self-limiting beliefs that hold back most people from replicating his entrepreneurial success.
Above, I included a two minute clip from that episode. It features a comment that I personally made in the live stream chat:
“My future self is better than me.”
Even though Jack mispronounced my “JeThoreau” pseudonym, I appreciate the "A+" he gave for my take on his main point!
I highly recommend watching it.
Not that I’m biased…
But seriously.
It’s a brilliant mix of inspiration and tough love to overcome the limitations of your current ego!
And then here’s a link to the full episode, which I also highly recommend:
