T.T. 13: Corruption in the Press is Nothing New
Tucker Carlson's increasingly uncompromising trend toward being the truth-seeking exception was never likely to last within the highly centralized legacy paradigm
(Although I’m publishing this a few hours late… it covers a giant topic, and is technically still on time as Thursday in Hawaii, so whatever)
Normally, I pay very little attention to news about the news. Just like politics — specifically politics, not policy — most of it is simply theater… drama… a distraction.
Tucker Carlson being let go by Fox is different though. This is a BIG deal, because it highlights MUCH larger long term trends, not only in politics but also in the broader nature of media.
Forward-looking tangents about Elon era Twitter, mailing list platforms like Substack, and Nostr — the decentralized future for all media content — will have to wait until the post (next) (two) THREE weeks from now. This news involves way too many major “macro” topics to cram into a single T.T. installment.
My primary focus for this one is to compile the four most important RECENT examples — all within just the past month — to highlight Tucker’s increasingly defiant gravitation toward uncomfortable truths on the issues that matter most!
(Disclaimer: Tucker isn’t perfect, and I certainly don’t endorse everything he’s ever said. However, I enjoy praising people who deserve it — especially when they stick their necks out to do the right thing — and this former MSNBC and CNN warhawk propagandist has made HUGE progress along an extremely positive trajectory)
In next week’s post, I’ll cover Tucker’s three superb interviews so far with prominent Bitcoiners — Michael Saylor, Max Keiser, and El Salvador Presidente himself Nayib Bukele — with the perspective of hindsight to see how becoming “orange-pilled” has accelerated his uncompromising prioritization of truth and freedom.
In two weeks, I’ll follow up with the most interesting perspectives on the fallout from this news bombshell, and round it all out with some historical context. The ruling class has used “mainstream media” to “manufacture consent” on the most crucial issues consistently for over a century… arguably, in one form or another, since the dawn of civilization.
(Although the context of the original quote is different, its emphasis on truth is still worth reading if you’re interested)
Before diving into Tucker’s defiance, let’s start with two very brief clips that powerfully emphasize just how completely compromised the corrupt corporate media currently is overall:
“This is extremely dangerous to our democracy”
Seriously, watch this… it’s less than two minutes, and speaks for itself.
“100% safe and effective”
Now that Twitter and Substack have started a (fortunately non-nuclear) Cold War with each other, each has disabled links from the other’s platform being embedded properly.
Regardless of that frustratingly petty nonsense… this link is absolutely worth clicking on.
(Seriously… it costs nothing to simply just open a separate tab briefly)
It’s a widely-censored yet consistently-reposted two minute montage of the 2021 propaganda narratives falling apart. As the months passed, media headlines gradually began admitting more and more defeat, because the overwhelming amount of real scientific evidence became increasingly undeniable:

Tucker’s two recent must-watch opening monologues:
The final straw:
In one of his final segments ever as Fox News’ most popular host by far, Tucker used his opening monologue to directly call out centralized corporate media’s incurable corruption due to advertiser incentives — obviously implicating Big Pharma most of all — before then interviewing newly-declared Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. later in the show.
Tucker’s most important segment ever?
Just a couple weeks prior, the ONLY television pundit who even tried to be honest about the Military-Industrial Complex directly addressed the extreme consequences of blindly following their agenda.
In addition to the obvious existential threat to all of humanity via nuclear World War 3… Tucker specifically emphasized how NATO’s multi-decade provocation and ongoing escalation of war in Ukraine is ALSO irreperably destroying the U.S. petrodollar hegemony, not only with inflation, but also by driving Russia and China together into a closer alliance outside the control of dollar “reserve currency” influence.
Tucker Unfiltered
I hadn’t seen his recent episode on the Full Send podcast until now — Streisand Effect — other than the Iraq War propaganda regret clip that went viral.
It turns out though that the entire episode was phenomenal from start to finish, in terms of both humor and incredible insights!
Amongst many other intriguing takeaways, I had no clue that the NSA actually hacked Tucker’s messages through the ostensibly private Signal app when he was attempting to lay the groundwork for potentially interviewing Putin.
The FINAL final straw?
After leaving work at Fox on Friday for what turned out to be the last time as their top host, Tucker gave this extraordinary speech at the Heritage Foundation’s 50th anniversary event.
From a libertarian and Bitcoiner perspective, the fact that he even acknowledged the distinction between Keynesian vs Austrian Economics here is alone sufficient to be worth watching!
But then he ALSO took it a step further to acknowledge that enemies of freedom aren’t playing fair. They don’t have the same goals for human flourishing. They ARE evil — this was the primary theme, along with Tucker’s emphasis on the foundational importance of speaking truth, regardless of personal consequences.
Conclusion for now:
As mentioned above, I have MUCH more to say elaborating on multiple extremely important related topics in each of the next three weeks’ T.T. posts.
For now though, I’ll just leave it at this… bravo, Tucker!
He won’t merely just land on his feet… with the chains tethering him now unleashed, Tucker is going to soar to new heights.
P.S.
Now that Elon has taken small steps toward censoring Substack links on Twitter… you may want to download the app yourself, to cut out the middleman corporate social network, and connect more directly with myself and many other quality content producers!
